What is the name oif the book that most people recommend buying?
My brother is remarried and he is the typical guilty parent that doesn;t stand up to his ex but yet he has custody and she has NO visitation! I don;t get him. Anyway he is having major problems in his marriage and I want to recommend these books for her to read.
then my mom thinks I am not being loyal to my brother by telling him he is the problem! UGH!

Now to deal with my mom?? I told my dad that he didn't stand up to her while they were married what makes us think he is standing up to her now? He agreed but mom refused.
Umm hello mom this is the same woman that tried to kill my brother had her kids!!! Why is it so hard to believe that my bro is not standing up to her b/c he defended her with the fire! Even after it was obvious she did it.

if you don't mind a christian perspective, i read "the smart step-family" by ron deal and so did dh...it was VERY helpful for all of us but especially dh.

they have a book out called "the smart stepmom" by Laura Petherbridge too. which is a little more geared to her role specifically.
i didn't find it AS helpful...but i still thought it had a lot of great advice.
