O/T Baby car seats...

BD is outgrowing her infant seat, and it's time to look at convertible rear-to-forward facing car seats. Finding anything informative on recommended car seats has been a nightmare. I know they all meet basic safety standards and all that, but do any of you have a car seat or brand you'd recommend? I've known too many people in car accidents lately, so its really been a big deal to me to get a good one.

Thanks much. I don't want to get a crap seat or spend a lot on something she'll use for a year and then outgrow. We got lucky on our first seat, I had a friend who's son had just outgrown it. Thanks for the recommendation!

Also O/T on your O/T post but right now Babies R Us is having their trade-in event. Bring in any car seat, stroller, etc., even if its expired, and you get 25% off all travel equipment.

Britax. They consistently rank the tops in safety. We have two for our kids. I think we got the Marathon, but any of theirs are very good.
