BM Bites the dust! health insurance update.......
Ok so bm has done some sneaky underhanded stuff for medicaid, and food stamp stuff...who knows exactly, but aparently she went down to the child support office and asked for an increase or something, (which is her right) but it turned and bit her in the ASS!
Because She would never give dh and I birth certificates to add them to insurance, but when she went down there trying to be sneaky, they saw that they were not on dh health insurance and added them, (no biggie he already pays for a family plan for us anyway) AND also saw that he now has remarried and has 2 other kids by his WIFE,.....she caused them to either deny her increase, or CUT her child support !!!!!!!
Now I had told dh to tell child support people he had another child way back when we had our first son, but he was afraid to because he now made more money and said that it could hurt us because it could go either way, she could end up getting more money because she had the first two, which here in texas is 25% of the noncustodial parents income.
STUPID BM .......now what you gonna do ...I hope they cut support and divide it EQUALLY between ALL four kids....
So many times, we go without sometime because dh check is hit first by child support...so this would be a breath of fresh air

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I'm from Texas...They will NOT do this. It would be nice, but they won't. For two kids, it will be 25% of his income. He will get a 2% credit for each of your kids together. (I think it is 2% or really close to that) So basically he will be paying 21% of his income. How much is he making now, compared to what he was making wen support was ordered?
10 dollars more an hour
10 dollars more an hour
Uh oh. It will still likely
Uh oh. It will still likely go up. Just make sure you get the credit for your two kids. PS...you can drag this out for MONTHS. Has DH been called to bring in his income proof to the AG yet?
no....she told him that she
no....she told him that she was going to get more, but we were under the impression thats why the insurance thing happened because she went in there ...this has happened to two men in my family and that what happened to them when the women went in and started kicking up dust
Wait, wait,wait!! You are
Wait, wait, wait!! You are saying that the AG, put his kids on his health insurance through his job...? That is crazy. Something else must have happened. That is crazy to think they can just force an insurance company to insure someone. Crazy.
Yep thats exactly what
Yep thats exactly what happened! But we were like ok...cause we had been trying to add them for the last two years! And since it was not any extra, we did not care....
I would suggest contacting
I would suggest contacting your insurance company and finding out what she said to have them added....Some BM's use personal information of the Baby Daddy, or they present themselves as the current wife. Check into it or it could cause problems down the road. Always protect yourselves.
It might go up or down...yes,
It might go up or down...yes, it is 25% for 2 kids and a crappy 2.5% decrease for each kid he has from another relationship...HOWEVER it might go down if originally he did NOT have them in the order in his insurance, thus the state never gave him credit for what he spends on insurance for them...Although it might not cost you more, they normally just divide up the full cost of insurance by however many need to be covered in the order, then that amount is deducted from the NET income to then calculate the % of child support.
Good luck!
AGree with this. They will
AGree with this. They will most likely deduct the insurance amount from his income as well as the 2.5% decrease per child. I would go to an online CS calculator to get an idea of how much he will end up paying. Hopefully you will get a little bit of a reprieve.
