Update: Good news!!! The 6 year old is going home!

He is going to be released tomorrow! So happy. The principal and VP came by to check up on him and to tell us that the boy is going to be fine and will be going ho,me tomorrow. They are also setting up counselling for him. They are also going to get a mess to the boys parents that we are so sorry and to make sure they know that we have ins and if there is anything we can do.

Just so happy that he is going to be ok and hope he will have a great child hood and a normal kid.

So glad to hear that! I saw your post on my phone yesterday and thought, "oh, noooo."

I just took my 16 year old's license away because he was irresponsible with driving. (Not saying that's what happened with your son.)

I told him I was terrified I'd get a call that he'd killed a kid because he was being stupid. My worst nightmare. So glad to hear the boy is alright!

Thanks everyone! It was ruled an accident as the sun was in my sons eye that was very obvious and anyone that lives here knows that. Which is why son should have been more careful but he was slowing down b/c he couldn't see which may have been why he didn't get hurt as bad as he could have been. Son was going under spend limit when it happened as well. I just hope that the boys parents aren't going to go off the deep end with us and know that it was an accident and that we are very sorry.
Son is going to go back to school tomorrow and I will have to make him drive as he is not wanting too.

I know how I would feel if it were my son in the hospital so I'm trying to put myself in their shoes. sorry babbling now.

Son is doing so much better after he heard the boy is going home. he couldn't sleep last night so he stayed home today. He will be going back tomorrow and they have already set up counselling and other things for him. Thanks for asking/

I am soooo glad to hear it. I normally don't get on the computer in the evenings, but I got on last night just to see about the kids.

Bear I just talked to his mom and she is being very reasonable. She was very pissed off yesterday at everyone including at the baby sitter as he was not supposed to be walking. She was out of state on business and had to fly back here not knowing how her son was and of course thinking the worst. He has 2 head fractors and will have some perm. hearing loss. But he is going to ok.

She wants to meet and make sure that my son knows he is a good kid just that this was an accident and she thinks it will be good for her son tom know that there is a face behind who hit him. I think it is a healing thing for them which is good. I just feel so awful about this whole thing. She also said that she didn't want to feel greedy when I told her we have ins. I am about to cry again.

This is a good turn of events thanks. Son just went to school he is going to be ok. I seem to have not been able to stop crying. First b/c of what happened and now that he is going to ok. I don't think it will be real soon as he needs to rest for a while. And his sister (the 10 yr old) was there and she is having trouble sleeping as well. I just feel so bad for them. I am having a hard time finding words right now.
