Two newborns in less then a week! WHAT an exciting week! I'm an aunt!

SO....both my brother/sil and my best friend/neighbor were due the same time (early May).

My sil had my baby niece on Saturday, I was not there for the birth-they BOTCHED her entirely by an unecessary induction, stopped it, restarted and of course she ended up w/a c-section-they literally butchered her birth. BUT, mom and baby are good, my niece is absolutely PRECIOUS. I saw her Sunday and can't wait to see her again tomorrow or Sat. My brother and her are doing great for first time parents-breastfeeding, holding, bonding, all of it. Just beautiful!

My friend had asked me to be in the room w/her and her bf when she delivered-I was honored! I got a text last night but didn't see it-this am I got a call from her that she was at hospital and 7 cms Smile I took the boys to school and went over there....had about 45min before baby was born-she did great. She did get the epidural at 7cm and was still very uncomfortable. Got to comfort her, hold her leg back, got pics, coach w/pushing...we found out it was a boy Smile She didn't know the sex and she wanted a boy Smile It was miraculous to watch, beautiful indeed. Awwww.....all these sweet babies...

Yeah, my bf has been avoiding sex alltogether this week-wonder why? LOL

SO i'm an "official aunt" and unofficial aunt also Smile I get to play w/these babies and then return them later LOL

Congratulations! My nephews wife just had their 2nd baby on Tuesday. Tis the season, I suppose! Smile

Aren't they fantastic??? And the cheek, thigh, & elbow fat to nuzzle & squeeze!

*sigh* I really wish I had one. Of course, at some point they reach 12...

Thanks all, it's all so neat! It's so bittersweet for me...because I'm finally with someone I love so much and having a child with him would have been great...but at almost 37 I think I"m past that point...not to mention we already have 3 kids between us and the thought of starting over is way too daunting...but still I guess once you make the decision of "no more kids" it's tough on us women I think....for me mainly because I wish the kids would have been w/my bf now from the getgo.

Would have been a wonderful thing-so it's just bittersweet. At least I can take care of baby fever w/holding my little boy and girl now Smile
