Jon & Kate :(
I'm so sad about Jon & Kate. I didn't get to watch the show, but I was so sad to read it.
But I've seen it coming for a long time. Things have just been going downhill for so long and everything has just taken its toll on them.
I hope they'll act like adults for the sake of the kids, both during this time and when (or if) they marry others. I don't know if those kids know, but let's all pray for the kids!

My friend and her husband
My friend and her husband just split a couple months ago and they are doing the same thing. Its the adults that are shuffling around instead of the kids. I think its great at first because their kids are young, but this is not a permanent solution to the living arrangements. Neither parent can move on with that set up, but I'm sure in both my friend's situation & for Jon and Kate that they are not yet worried about moving on. Well, maybe Jon is

I feel bad for any step
I feel bad for any step parents that enter that situation.. that will NOT work out.. also, she said that she refuses to NOT see her children on every holiday.
That's (IMO) the hardest part of a divorce.
You, the husband and wife, have to give up seeing your kids every single day. You have to give up birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. Things that make you want to cringe when you think about it. I hate it when my son isn't here for a holiday. It really hurts my heart. It's hard to deal with but she's going to find out as soon as John gets a GF that every single holiday isn't gonna work.........I would hate to be the SM that brings her to that conclusion!

I agree...she is WAY too much of a control freak! She is not going to handle this well at all. Not to mention when a SM comes into the picture. This is going to be all over the tabloids for a very long time. 8 frickin kids....wow. Poor things. And you know they are spoiled and everything is always about them, so I don't think any new spouse would be able to handle it!

But like all "celeb" marriages, reality TV ones in particular, the strain of having cameras on you all the time cannot be conducive to have a real relationship.
They've been doing this for FIVE years. Can you imagine?
I told DH last night that if they continue on and bring steps into it now THAT would be a show I'd watch. Like to see how Jon and Kate plus 8 plus plus plus would go. Sharing the same house and leaving when it's the other parent's time? Oy Vey. Talk about confusing for the kids.

Yes lets see how Kate reacts when Jon moves into the house
with his new GF. Then there is this "joint holidays" can't wait to see how THAT goes over with the new GF. IMO they need to STOP the show, get real jobs, concentrate on the kids and get them out of the spot light.

Can you imagine EITHER:
living in a house with 8 kids!!! ALL the attention, inevitably will be for the kids ONLY!!! and OMG, dealing with Mady's demands... LOL
OR having DH sleep somewhere else half of the week...
