So. Ok.
Talked DH out of "going in" on the stroller/carseat thing. First, it's already paid for and there's no need to contribute. Second, SD will get more stuff if we buy something else. Third, I just really don't like my ILs and would much rather not "go in" on anything with them.
As of tonight, we're buying the changing table that SD wants. Fancy, sold out in many stores. Ok, fine. It was actually kinda my idea. NOW, however, DH wants to spend $80 stinkin' bucks to ship it to my ILs by the shower this weekend. WTF? Just ship it to SD's new apt (they just moved out of BM's last weekend.) Maybe we should ship it to BM's? Again, WTF? WHY???
Just send the stupid expensive thing to SD's house. Seriously.
Maybe he's afraid to ask SD for her new address? I dunno. I'm sure he will. He's just irritating me!

I know he wants to send her something for this shower. Personally, I feel like if we send this expensive changing table to the ILs for the shower, it's like all "ooh, look at us! Look at us!" I'd rather just send it quietly to SD and be done with it, kwim?

Annndd...MIL AND SIL called today. Double wham bam. Not only will the cataract surgery kill MIL at the end of the month (Oh, one could only hope!!) but now she is having issues with her liver. It runs in the family. DH has had tests/biopsies done and so has SS24. Now it's MIL. She's very concerned that this biopsy will also result in death.

So, for those following along...MIL is throwing SD's baby shower this weekend (THREE MONTHS before baby is expected) and she's dying next week in a biopsy and again at the end of next week during cataract surgery.

Down goes the wine. Glug, glug.
