SD18 now wants to live in a van...down by the river!
SD18 is just returned from a relaxing week at the beach with her mom, sisters and alcoholic grandparents. BM took off while they were all swimming in the ocean, and left with her boyfriend without telling anyone where they were going. SD20 apparently got stuck watching the younger cousins to make sure they didn't drown, Since SD20 is usually high as a kite on some drug or another, this seems like a bad choice on BM's part. So.... now that SD18 is back, she is in a manic phase of her bipolar, calling her dad every hour asking if he has found her a van to live in yet. And accusing him of being slow on purpose.
Yes, you heard me correctly. SD18 apparently decided that living in BMs backyard shed wasn't going to work, since BM has a new boyfriend who just moved in with them, and SD hates him. So, she is back to her grand idea of living in a converted van for the rest of her life. DH is over the moon happy. He thinks this means she is going to get her drivers license. Well, if she does.... that's great! But, who is going to pay for this van? Where is she going to park it? Not in our driveway, that is for sure.
The stupidity of this dance sometimes makes me nope out of here. Lucky for me, I have a new therapist who has some good ideas on how to disengage from DH, but still stand up for myself when it comes to how the skids act in our home. The skids will likely come over tonight, and stay the rest of the week. Since SD18 is in a manic phase, and her sis SD16 is pissed at her already for being such a jerk, well.....it should be an interesting week. They both called their dad 3 times each last night within a half hour, just to complain about eachother. They say things like "I just wanted you to know that she is lying about me ignoring your phone call." or "I heard my name. What did she tell you about me, because its not true." Oh, the stepdrama! Sometimes I like to pretend that they are exotic animals in a zoo, and I am studying their behavior to learn more about their species. LOL!

Just answer her.
When you get your driver's license, we will visit the van options. Don't want to hear about any of this until said license is. Is gotten. And the money to pay for, the insurance, the van loan, gas, ect
OR never
She is 18.
Her homeless van is on her to buy. Which she can't do without a DL.
So, daddy needs to put it all on her. When she figures it out, she can text him with her shifting physical address as she gets run off from various parking spots.
smh
