continue bad attitude
so after FH oldest son was "texted" that we would not give him a ride on Sunday - FH gets a call last night from aforementioned son, and guess what ...he still thinks FH was wrong to not give him a ride and when FH tried to explain to him why BS started yelling and cussing at FH so FH hung up on him!
I thought (yeah I aint paid to think) that maybe just maybe..this could be a turning point in FSS attitude..NOPE he still thinks his dad was wrong and his dad should do whatever FSS wants.
Poor FH was very sad last night.
It must be even harder too cuz last night we got home and my youngest BS 19 had made cake for all of us. and he had done some laundry. (course he was not raised by guilt!!)
I can imagine it would hard not to compare.
SO I am glad I told FSS NO on the ride whether that would have been FH answer or not.
FSS is an di*k .. plain and simple.
lesson being...as we all know guilty parenting does not work...

did the right thing
he's got to learn that people don't exist to serve you, that calling people only when you want something from them and otherwise ignoring them or treating them badly is not going to get you anywhere.
Hopefully the way your BS is only gives more strength to your voice of reason, and gives him the courage to avoid guilt parenting!!!

you would think
but I see him developing the same pattern with his other two.
I am afraid he is even MORE worried (ie more guilt parenting)..that they will turn out like oldest FSS.
it is a vicious cycle.

I'll just let my signature quote stand for itself on that one...

I should sent that over to him...
