Yet again BM called the cops when we went to meet her and pick the kids up on New years eve day. She called the cops to inspect our carseats (the ones we've had for 6 months) because she doesn't think their "proper" and wanted to have our vehicle insepected and oh yea...because shes a psycho! This is the 6th time in one year that shes called the police on us for BS reasons. Im worried that SD5 and SS4 are learning that its okay to call and waste the police officers' time for any old reason. I've tried to explain to them that policemen have very important jobs protecting innocent people and arresting bad guys and that it's not okay to call them unless of an emergency....what do I say when SD5 asks me "then why does mommy call the police all the time?"

ABSOLUTELY!!! GET THESE REPORTS!! It will give you the much needed ammunition when you nail her to the wall for harrassment.

Really, inspecting your car seats? She is a control freak. She is so jealous she can't stand it. She wants to see you pay and the best way to make it backfire on her is to get those police reports and have them on hand for when you need them.

UGHHH....I have a white trash neighbor bitch from hell that does this all the time! We have seen the police in our neighborhood more times since she moved in the last 2 yrs then I have in the last 11 I've been there.

Some people just like the drama and don't care about wasting tax payer money and police's time...entitled, bitter, bitches.

She lives on disability, gets rent assistance, doesn't work...has nothing to do but cause neighborhood strife w/her kids and the rest of the neighborhood...mingle in little kids spats and call the cops...her son "ran away" (mind you he's 15 and had a spat w/the moms bf-and walked to the other street in the neighborhood)...and she called the cops w/in 5mins...she called the cops because one of the kids in the area wrote a bad name to her son in chalk on the street...OH..once someone supposedly threw something at her mailbox. NOW mind you ALL the kids have been told to leave them alone-so I think she does a lot of these things herself. She's a LUNATIC.

That answer is obvious IMHO ... "well sweetie, criminals are bad guys and calling the police for no reason is a crime ... so mommy is a bad guy". That ought to turn the focus to where it belongs and "mommy" can explain why she does what bad guys do.

For sure you should do as krisnkids has suggested. Get copies of each of BMs bullshit police reports and file a harassment charge against BM. If she keeps this bullshit up then she can explain to he kids why she is being hauled off to jail in handcuffs by the police since only bad guys get arrested.

Stupid people are so entertaining.

I see this all the time at work, parents use the police to get at one another. I do know one family had to come in and discuss the affect on the children. The officers explained it as in both parents are just worried because they don't know whats going on at the other house. Officers try to not get too involved and they try to not tramatize the child but they can not not go to a call. They can't pick and choose calls so it puts them in a position too. I'd try to explain that the officers are only looking out for the kid and I wouldn't try to explain the other parents motivation for calling saying stuff like she's a bad person abusing the police man's time will just back fire on you. Rather than that I'd say Gee I don't know maybe you may want to ask your mother/father, we only have your best interest at heart maybe she/he doesn't realize we'd never do anything to hurt you.
