Does anybody know how to obtain past court records? We are at our wits end with SS7's mother and we are in the process of getting all of our stuff together to take her back to court. We have some real dirt on her that was exposed in her first child custody case and we're trying to get a copy of it! She admitted something in court but was never charged with anything, so we're wondering if that is still public record? Anybody know? We're new to this stuff!

I go to the county records on line. I am able to look at anything i want that is public record, on anybody I want as long as I have their name. Do not need any other information.

We can access criminal, civil, & traffic records on BM online (& have) but anything done through J&D court is kept private. DH can access HIS J&D information (between him & BM) but if it was something pertaining to her records with children she might have had with someone else he'd have to have them subpoenaed.

Also, our judge wouldn't allow DH to bring anything from past court hearings/happenings into his arguments.

I don't know that that's common practice, but it's how our judge operates. BM lied about having terminal cancer to get the kids back & our judge wouldn't allow her medical records to be used as evidence in court.
