Awe man! Fit hit the shan...

I know I have complained about this whole full custody battle and being terrified about getting the girls full time. But damn it, I never wish for bad things to happen. I just voice out my frustrations, concerns and issues on here.

The attorney's office called DH this morning stating if he didn't have the remaining $3300, his attorney will not be showing up for court tomorrow. Previously, DH had spoken with them voicing his concern about not having the full amount. They assured him that his lawyer will still be present since his payment history to date is 4G... that he has shown steady payment and the attorney would never do that. HA! Slimey is what I say. The day BEFORE court, demand $3300 or else she won't be there??? I don't know about you but in these economic times, we are NOT financially stable. I don't have steady income and DH is struggling. We scrape by... so we don't have $3300 laying around. Had she said something 2-3 weeks ago, we would have been working harder to get some of that money. So for her to bring this up last minute is shady. DH is in shambles Sad
Although my fears and desires still exist, this is far from anything I would have wanted to happen. I would never want the girls in danger. Which is exactly what they are in, living at their moms.

If you can't come up with the money, go to the attorney and pick up all your documents and the outline. If you handle this smartly and rationally, you will be able to do it.

The attorney is slimy and a jackass, yes, however right now, you've got to focus ALL your attention on how you are going to win. Deal with the attorney after.

And this is one more reason I effing HATE an attorney. They're asses.

Have your DH call the courthouse & find out about filing for a continuance. I don't know how far ahead you can file, but it's worth finding out. Then, find a lawyer who will work with you.

If you can't find one who will work with you, set up free consultations with a few different ones & get advice on how to approach it in court pro se.
