Is anyone interested in telling your story?

I'm just curious to see if anybody would be interested in putting together a detailed blog for stepparents. I know we tend to vent on here (myself included) but how about if we put our 'stories' so to speak online for others to see? I think the greatest strength about this website is the fact we can see what others are going through and to know that we are not alone. I know that I personally would love to learn more about everyone's history and how they got here and how things are going (for the good and for the bad).

I'm just curious. I thought it might be a useful idea.

I actually have another blog that I keep outside of here to document my "journey" and really come on here just to vent or read other people's stories. If you would like to write up a guest post I would be happy to post if you are interested. My blog is at www.thestepmonster.wordpress.com

This seems to be a great site too-I love reading your posts. I am thinking of gathering more 'complete' stories and having every person submit them like a chapter of a book. What do you think? Personally, I would love to read everyone's story and I'd be happy to edit them if that is a concern (I teaching writing at a university).

Yeah! It could be like the stepmother's version of The Help. Each chapter is someone else's story. Some good, some bad, but they all show that we are not evil bitches, just women trying to make our messed up families work. Love it!

Perfect, I will purchase the domain name and start soliciting for stories. I am not an expert at web design, but I think I can get something up that is functional and appealing.

Until I get things up and running, would you be willing to work on writing up your story? Once I can get the site up, I will let you know and I'll post mine on there to start.

I love this blog. You have a lot of good information here. I was thinking about something similar, but using polished and 'complete' stories (if that makes sense). So one main story for each person (like a chapter of a book).

Would you be willing to contribute? I'd be happy to edit it.

Yes I would share my story! From the day I met DH 6 years ago until now....I could say A LOT!!

Excellent! I think I'm going to purchase a domain name and we can post everyone's story online. I just think there would be a real need and use for this. I always feel so much better when I realize that I'm not alone, and that others have been through worse and gotten through it successfully.
