Husband got full physical custody. Husband, BM and I share joint legal. BM will now have to pay support, back dating to sept. of 2012. BM has no visitation in the order, however we will let SD go every other weekend. BM didn't even file for visitation! What??

Anyway..finally my husband got what he deserved the whole time. I guess her constant drug use, jail time and absence became enough that the judge couldn't ignore it or go against anymore GAL decisions.

BM got out of jail early last week. SD went to spend the weekend with her (at grandma's house, where BM lives.) This was the first time SD had seen her mother in 10 months. I was pretty anxious about how SD would be acting when she returned. Well, luckily that part went well. SD came back and the first thing she said to me was, "Oh, mom! I was so busy on friday I forgot until it was too late to watch our show" So, that is good. The show is a new show on tv that we are both interested in and I told her to tell me all about it if she got to see it this weekend.

If so, where? I'm in Virginia. I want some IRL steptalk buddies.

SD got a 'yellow' at school, again. This is the third time. The first time he didn't punish her. I told him what I thought. The second time she got no dessert. Great. This time, she is going to bed an hour early. But she still gets dessert and to watch TV with us..so....how is that really a punishment? How is an hour early bedtime even anything to a child? I told him that I don't think she should get dessert either. Dessert is a treat to be earned with good behavior and good eating. Whatever though, I guess I can't get involved. He hasn't changed his mind.
