Bioparents…come get yo bad a$$ kids!!!

Lillywy00's picture

From the conversations about adult offspring continuing to live at home beyond the required obligation.... has got me thinking

Under What circumstances would I allow it?

Most likely never

but I did think to myself I would allow ailing parents to stay ... (maybe adult offspring but rather they not impose) especially if I had a guest house or house so large I never saw or heard them

I would still charge them rent (and make them earn their keep) although I'd give the elderly on fixed income a break.

Step-Parenting with a Disneyland Spouse

I got into a heated debate with one of my relatives (mind you her 2 stepkids hated her because she was VERY strict and ended up leaving to live full time with their bio mom so she only had to stepparent for less than a couple of years) who said "once you marry your spouse you HAVE to be highly involved with skids and help your spouse as they request"

Employers of The Year (Part 2)

Lillywy00's picture

Decided to return to co-dependent employer headquarters .... thank heavens it was just part of the day not the whole day.

It was mostly cool good thing a new manager so somewhat fresh re-start, but the ALWAYS busy - for the type of pay, rigid schedule, their stinginess with pto has reminded me to always be looking for next opportunity. My goal = major steps towards promotion/salary increase in T minus 30 days or less.

Glad I didn't have to see the co-workers face2face. I didn't interact with them much (mainly to save time) although I wanted to.

Employers Of The Year

....not!

Well my managers manager calls me and I decided to answer.

*I shouldn't have answered ugh bc she completely caught me off guard

Mind you I'm in the middle of filing unemployment....

Asking me if I'm okay and no explanation as to why my calendar was blank when I first asked weeks ago.

Then asking if I wanted to come back to work for them....tomorrow.

IDK if I have legal leverage with the FMLA issue or if they're just so hard up for employees after they let a bunch of people go.

Introvert Revelation

Lillywy00's picture

How many Step moms or former step moms are introverts?

Part of the reason I left the home I shared with my ex (aka Disneyland Dad of the Year) was that his lazy layaway plan pr0stitute and feral spawns disturbed my peace in my home on a regular basis. When I said something I got dismissed.

OT - Mistakenly told my mom about my unknown “employment” status and now I regret it

Lillywy00's picture

Before I realized I did NOT want to tell this to people who would most likely judge me ... I told my mom thinking she may have good advice

WRONG!!!

She immediately starts freaking out "OMG how are you going to get by" and all other fear-mongering bs

I feel like that job was just a stepping stone for what is next not the place I was supposed to retire (unless they were promoting me and paying me accordingly)

OT - Petty Employers Laid Me Off (I think) w/o notice

Lillywy00's picture

So I have yet to get an answer from my sociopathic managers regarding my employment status since Monday when I went to log in and saw a blank schedule.

I did email Human Capital to ask them about severance pay and they emailed me back with a "transition guide"

Bruh ... wtf?!?

Idk if it's legal to just lay people off with no notice but I'm considering consulting with an attorney about this for multiple reasons.
