Ok, this is kind of funny but not in Ha, Ha! sort of way: the other day I was watching a TV show online with SS6, SD8 was grounded no TV because she forgot, once again to clean the table after she was done eating (yes, my skids carry their own weight around this house, I'm not their maid or their mom, besided I think it teaches them responsibility) anyways, since it was online there was only one comercial about drinking and driving, and my SS6 after watching the comercial for the 6th time made the comment that he didn't know that you could go to jail for drinking and driving, and I with out thinking blurted out: "Yes, you do, that's why your mom went to jail" OOPPSSSS!!! LOL
It just came out and he just said: "Yeah..." as if he already knew and I thought he new becasue SD8 knows and has confronted her mom about it. So, I told DH that night and told him that I was sorry if that became an issue with BM, I wasn't trying to cause problems it was just an applicable example at the time.. LOL He told me not to worry about it that he has been long done caring about what that woman thinks or says (his actual words YAY!) and that infact she did go to jail for drunk driving and he has told her time and again to come clean with her kids so things like this won't happen.
So, last night SS6 is washing his plate after dinner and DH is in the kitchen changing the trash when from the dining room I hear SS6 say: "Hey dad, Joy said that mom was drunk!" in a fun laughing way, and my DH told him that he shouldn't tell that to his mom, that if he wants to know about her mom being drunk he needs to ask her what happened but not implicate me, that is her mom's job to tell him about her stories, and made him promise that he wouldn't go to her mom and say that I told him she was drunk, and SS6 promised.
In away I felt relieved that my DH backed me up 100% and in the other hand I felt guilty because I should be more careful and not make comments like that, the funny part is that I was so out of it that day, from stress that at the end of the show I rememberd that SS6 was also grounded and couldn't watch TV LOL!!!
