A few people asked so I thought I would give an update on the recital.

So DH had make the two hour drive out to the school the night before the recital because their was band practice...He asked me to drive out there with him because he had never been there...However, I had other plans and just couldn't make it..LOL..I didn't say it but I had to drive out there and all over the bavarian country side to find her school all by myself the first time I had to go there....So I figured that he can do the same..So he says well I will just take the GPS...Oopppsss, the school is brand spanking new and since he didn't update the GPS like I suggested he do the school wouldn't show up on the GPS...LOL...Guess it took him a while to find it..

Two days before the band recital Step Brat told DH that the band teacher had "cancelled" the practise..(Yeah right). So I suggested he call the school to verify because that would be the responsible thing to do and it would be a real drag for him to make that two hour trip out there to pick her up just to have her show up at home while he was gone..He called the school and shock shock...The band teacher DID NOT cancel the practice and the step brat had lied about it! (Did she get in any trouble for lying to him about it??? Nope! Typical.) Anyway, DH got the oppurtunity to see Step Brat "in action" around her "friends"...I guess during the band practise he kept having to gesture at her to pay attention because she was too busy socializing with her friends and not paying attention to her teacher...He informs me that night that he wants to take the camera so for me to make sure that their are no pictures on it and the battery is charged..Yeah, I didn't do that either..If he wants to take the camera then he can charge the battery and make sure it's ready to go...Thats what I do when I want to take pictures of my kids school functions..I'm not his dambed personal assistant!!

The day of the recital DH ended out making the hour each way trip to the PX to get step brat a new shirt for the recital. He asked me to go with him and help pick it out but I had my body pump class and Karate training planned at exactly the same time!! (Hmmmm...what a coincidence huh? LOL..)So he went alone...It took him three hours to find her a shirt and he had to ask the advice of several random women who were shopping in the ladies department! LOL...But he actually got her a cute shirt!

Of course the few hours before the recital is turned into an over dramatic display as if Step Brat was attending the Miss America pageant!! I went upstaires to get ready for Karate and avoid the drama. Before he heads out the door he asks where the camera is...I point to the electronics closet and lo and behold the camera battery is "dead"...This is of course "my fault"..LOL..(Okay..whatever..) They go to the recital and get home a few hours later..He informs me that he got to talk to a few of her teachers that she is getting F's in their class...They informed DH that the reason that Step Brat is getting bad grades is because she doesn't do her home work and spends most of her time in their class "talking" with her friends..(Hmmmmm..This is exactly what I told him the problems were with her grades a few months ago but he wanted to argue with me about it..I gloated that her teachers confirmed it..)

He said the recital went well...Step Brat said "It was okay..I got to fool around with my friends."

Now interestingly..My 17 year olds best friends little sister attends school with step brat..According to her and several other kids she attends school with "no one likes her because she is annoying, an attention hog, and is always saying stupid things in class trying to get the classroom to laugh and gets all offended if they don't laugh at what she says. She is always trying to get all the attention by acted retarded and stupid..". LOL.. Yep thats what her classmates have said about her! They don't find what she says "funny" because it's not funny she acts retard and says stupid things trying to "be cool" and to get everyone to pay attention to her..

So, in the end, it doesn't really matter what she wore..Her personality and behavior insured that she was, indeed, retarded at the recital!
