Father ISO sons behavior towards stepmom
Hi,
I am a dad with full custody of my 13 year old son. I was recently remarried to a woman 10 years younger than me, and very attractive. It has been obvious as of late that my curious son is positively sexually attracted to her. To no fault of her own, he has on occasion positioned himself conveniently so, as to allow unobstructed visibility of butt-crack. Since then, he loiters around the bathroom door when she is showering, always has the need to knock on the bedrrom door knowing she is in pj's braless or whatever.. I hope you get the picture. My question, is is this normal? What should I do as a dad? What should my wife do as his step-mom? Thanks for helping!

My step son at 9 has acted
My step son at 9 has acted the same way with me. It's weird and uncomfortable but not something that we believe will cause damage. We just ignored it and it has gotten much better. Once the newness wore off so did his fascination. I was careful what I wore (to some extent) I mean I am not going to walk around in a potato sack but not in my underwear either. Maybe she should change to clothes that don't show her butt crack. I didn't say anything because I didn't want him to feel weird with me 5 years from now. We just pretended we didn't notice and he moved on to i carly. Good luck

Yes, it's normal. It's even normal for boys to do these things around their own mothers or older sisters. Does she realize that he does these things? She may not even realize that she may be unintentionally augmenting this behavior by being braless when he is around or with the way she dresses around him. Have you talked to her about this? Some things that she can do is just to be more aware of her body and how she dresses when he is in the house.
Have you had the sex talk with your son?
