One half little footstep forward

...DP says to me, after I get home from the grocery store (with his credit card since I had to do a large trip that involved food for SDs, which I don't pay for any longer)..."It's kind of expensive shopping for them isn't it?"

DING DING DING!

Then he started discussing with me what SD11 eats (the most expensive, processed stuff because she won't eat anything else...which is another story not just "picky" eating and which he doesn't want to talk about...) and what SD9 eats (pre-prepared crap vs. basically anything I cook).

DING DING! (only two because he didn't quite get there but some recognition occurred).

And this, "I am going to clean the girls bathroom, don't worry, a lot of the mess in there is mine."
Me, "But not all of it?" I wasn't aware he was using the bathroom much at all so this explains some of the mess actually. DP is messy and SD11 follows his lead to the hilt.
DP, "No, but I'll clean it."
Some discussion of what needs to be cleaned and how to clean it follows, and he says, "I will have them help me."
I am careful not to be too happy with this and so now we'll wait until this weekend and see what really happens.
My money is on DP will announce they need to clean the bathroom, he'll get SD9 involved no problem (because she likes to clean), and SD11 will throw a tantrum like last time.
But it's nice he FINALLY recognized the bathroom was disgusting!

No worry - I don't buy the stuff.
DP does.

Unless there's a valid reason, I only cook one meal at a time - if SD11 wants something else she can make it herself (from her pre-packaged selections or easy cooking selections). SD11 has a food disorder which makes it very difficult to deal with food; I thought at first it was just picky eating but the extreme was way out in left field.

SD9 was a classic picky eater, she's not any longer and eats most anything I put in front of her.

Here's a link about what I believe is SD11's issue: http://www.inquisitr.com/2011849/picky-eater-or-selective-eating-disorder/
