So, the week went well. After picking up Munchkin SD14, by Friday, she was out of her room and smiling and laughing and talking.

Yesterday, Monday was to be the drop off at Toxic Troll's knarly apartment, but DH and I were both in agreement. That if things were as bad as they had been, whereby Munchkin has to watch her mother self-destruct, that we would not be hurring any drop offs along. We waited her out. at about 8 pm he called DH. Now, I have never in recorded history EVER said or written ANYTHING positive about Toxic Troll, so here it will be noted that I am saying/writing something positive. She called DH and discussed drop off. She was slurring. We had had a few shots of tequila, so HE would not be doing drop off. She never said anything to him then about her condition for driving, just said "so she will be staing there then...".  She was sort of slurring. Of course I was listening in on the conversation.

We all just deduced that she had been drinking, and didnt want to risk driving. She already has 1 DUI. It wasnt until later that she told DH that she was throwing up and feverish. Mentioned that she had been exposed to COVID last Friday. She is getting tested today. So we are all waiting on the test results. Either way, COVID positive or not, Munchkin stays with us.

Toxic Troll actually did the right thing and communicated and did not argue about drop off. A far cry from back in March when we were wanting to do 2 weeks on/off, when she argued that was too long and she needed a pet sitter for a trip she wanted to take. I remember her saying "well this virus isnt going anywhere!"

So, perhaps there has been some growth...
