I am really mad!
When I got home last night the house was really quiet. SS10, we'll call him Harry, (So I like Harry Potter, sue me) , was doing his chores and Severus (SS12) was no where to be seen. I went outside to talk to DH and DH told me Severus was grounded for a week. Not surprising but I asked what he did. Turns out he took his $300 Nintendo DS to daycamp and gave it to a "friend" to keep in his backpack. Keep in mind, he has known this kid a total of 7 days.

There is a God...And He/She says yes...Sometimes (Update at the bottom)
Ok. So this week I got a bit of good news. If you have read my previous blogs you will know about SS12, lets call him Severus (he goes around in that kind of grumpy mood). The deal with Severus is that he was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5 and promptly put on meds. He has gone through several types of medications and has since been diagnosed with ODD and Asperger's. I am sure there are a couple more in there but I can't remember them all. He is currently taking an anti-psychotic and a drug used for manic depression.
OT - Other People's Children
Just a little vent here off topic. My boss brought his 7 year old daughter into the office today. Cute enough kid and fairly polite but when did "babysitter" become part of my job description? She sat in my office all morning long and did arts and crafts at my desk using my office supplies. She actually said that she gets to use all the stuff because her daddy owns the company. Isn't that sweet? She also said that I didn't really work here and that only the guys (we're in construction) really worked.

Less than 2 weeks in and SS12 gets the cops called on him
Yesterday was a doozy. So I get home first and go to get a load of laundry together. I couldn't find SS12's sleeping shorts either on his bed or in the laundry basket. I look under the bed and there they are. I picked them up and *gross* they're wet. The smell reaking up from them is pee. I checked his sheets and mattress to see if he had an accident in the night and everything is clean and dry. This means that after I left yesterday morning and before he got dressed he decided to whiz all over his shorts. JOY! This is not an isolated incident.
Out of the horses mouth.
Ok, So my DH and I have my SS's for 6 weeks in the summer with them visiting their BM EOWE. We picked them up last Friday for the holiday (See Road Trip) and are almost through the first week. 2 weeks ago, I make up a chore list for the boys. It comes down to we clean a room every evening M-Th, Fri, Sat, Sun off. They do dishes every night. I even made up little cards for each room stating everything that needed to be done in order to clean a room. Very detailed. I gave these to DH 2 weeks ago to review and asked for his imput. Was it too much?

Holiday Weekend....Roadtrip...OK
So the 3 day weekend with the 800 mile roundtrip journey with 3 kids went ok. Actually it went better than I had any right to hope for. However, there were a few glitches.
1. BM bought SS12 a cell phone for his bday. SS12 decided he was bringing said cell phone to my mothers. I told him I would not be responsible for it and he needed to keep track of it. Can anyone tell me how this story ends???? (First 2 guesses don't count)

There is nothing like guilt parenting. (Long Vent)
So, our Father's Day weekend started with me going up Friday evening after work to retrieve the SS's an hour and 15 minutes away and then driving them back to our home (another hour and 15 minutes). They, of course, are asking for the first 20 minutes of the trip "What are we doing this weekend?", "Where are we going?", "Can we go to the store because I want to buy X,Y,Z?" All of this is indicating that we need to do something or buy something to entertain them. It makes me tense when someone else wants to spend my money for me:-).

Just another week
Well, this week BM texted DH with the news that SS12 got in a bike accident and had to have stitches. Her next words were "you will have to take him to Urgent Care on Saturday to have them removed".
1. I don't care about taking SS12 to get stitches out but is it really such an emergency as to pay the extra to Urgent Care (Not covered by the insurance DH pays for) to have it done? Why not take him to his doc on Monday and just pay the $20 copay.

Do you think I am on the right track?
I am new here and have found a lot of the discussions to be helpful. I love the venting option :-). I am looking, I guess, for support. I would like to know that I am not a completely evil person for how I feel about my SS12 and how I have decided to handle the situation. I little imput from you all would be welcome as well
