New Years
Hi all. I logged on to see how everyone else's New Years was going (ie. is anyone having a crappier one than me? ) but no such luck, not much New Year's chat. I, like many of you I am sure, am stuck with skid this LONG holiday weekend. I am just curious how many of you who are stuck with skids this weekend are married to men who LOVE that its a skid weekend?

W.I.W.F!
W.I.W.F! That's my new abbreviation, now that I am a SM. At least, its my abbreviation every other Friday. Wish It Wasn't Friday! We have him, the skid, EOW, which begins Friday, about 3pm, when he walks to our house from school. I sit at work, just imagining him in my head, walking home, opening the door, dropping all of his school crap and his soccer crap and his stinky shoes where ever they land. Opening the refrigerator looking for junk food, stuffing his face, tromping upstairs to plop down on the bed to play video games. I imagine that painting from The Scream, by Munch.

trick or treat age?
This is a quick question....what age do you think a kid should stop trick-or-treating?? I remember being 12 or so, having menstrual cramps during trick or treat, and thinking "this is retarded to still be doing this." Kids don't seem to grow up these days, or have a sense of age-appropriate activities. What age do you think is enough already?? I ask because BF was talking about what skid13 is doing this year for Halloween, and mentioned that he could trick-or-treat in our neighborhood this year and in BM's next year. I didn't say anything, but thought "next year?"

Happy Birthday to you, you live in a --- you look a ------ and smell like one too
On your skids birthday, how do you feel??
A. Hooray, happy birthday, lets have cake and ice cream and lots of presents and enjoy the party. I can't wait.
B. Ugh, what's to celebrate? Let the skid's bio-parents deal with the fiasco. I'm going to the movies...alone!
C. Ugh, I dread this day all year. I will psych myself up, have an extra glass, or ten, put my pretend party hat on and gag my way thru the festivities.
D. Hooray, one year closer to college and one year closer to getting my house back. One down and --- to go!
is it sunny in hell? or just hot?
Did anyone else wake up today and see the sun shining, beautiful blue sky, flowers blooming, light breeze...and think "I hate my life?" I am an outsider in my own home, take a backseat to the ex wife, and am expected to make a positive contibution to a child's life at the same time I am excluded from every aspect of his life because I am not his parent. BF refered to his ex-wife last night during an arguement as his "wife." Whoops. They divorced 10 years ago and were only married for 3. She must have made quite the impact.
