I got the job!!!
When school starts back on the first day in August I will be a dorm counselor! It's a the deaf school here in town. The kids live there during the week and go home on the weekends. I'll be working from 10pm till 8am. So DH will have to deal with the Skids! Hahaha!! Then I'll come home and go to bed while the hellions are at school. I will however have to watch them till 6pm when DH get home. I'll also only be working four nights a week! Also I'll still be a substitute school bus driver for the county. That's only once or twice a month. And I still have the job with the charter bus company and will probably drive for them on weekends and some weekdays when I'm not working.
Things as far as that are looking up. The pay sucks though but it is a state run school, not county so the benefits are wonderful! It's worth it just for the benefits! And they will also be teaching me sign language for free. The classes at the local college are out of my price range. Accually they said the kids will be teaching me sign language.
I'm really looking forward to it. I already know alot of the kids from the charter bus. We drive them to the middle of the state were their local county school buses pick them up on Friday. Then we pick them up in the same spot on Sunday to go back to the school. That how I found this little one horse town I live in! Population is 900 and something. It does have one redlight!
I even told SD12 I'm looking forward to not having to deal with her. What can I say, she threw yet another fit today and I was pissed. I'm not getting into the hell she causes me tonight though. This is a happy time, not a step kids demon time.

Good for you!
Congratulations on your job!
good for you
Its so nice when things fall into place. I have to laugh at the one horse town comment. We are moving tomorrow to a town of 700 and something and we don't have any stop lights. hehe
It is a one horse town
I'm not afraid to tell the town name online. After all it is were the only deaf school in Georgia is so it's not hard to find out.
I live in Cave Spring. It's named after the... we you guessed it... cave spring. We have one very small crappy grocery store, a general store (junk store), and half a dozen antique shops for the tourest. The town pool is a small pond that the cemented in the bottom of. No pizza is delivered here and they don't have Bellsouth internet service here either. There is also only an elementary school. They bus the older kids to a near by town to go to school.
It's a little odd for me because I grew up living in apartments in Atlanta. I'm not used to the small town life. But after living with DH in the back woods of North Carolina (his home town) this is nice. Even the closest Walmart is 22 miles away! I'm also 5 miles from Alabama and if you call 911 on your cell phone that's were they pick up.
