Yeah, I was thinking it was a curiosity call more than a call out of concern, but you never know.

Last year, my DH was injured, and needed surgery. He went out on disability first, and BM had a fit because she thought he was going to be out for a while. The "kids" (18, 19, 22) at the time-DH was still paying CS for the 18 y.o.- sent a few emails and texts, which were obvious attempts to see what was going on. BM stated that "she better get her money."

The darling children did not come to see him after the surgery, although one texted during the surgery (I had DH's phone) asking for a cell phone. Anyway, after DH came home, he had a few more texts and emails, which were again an attempt to see what was going on.

I hope your SS was genuine in his call.

It is sad the skids can be this way, but BM really freaked at the thought of having her CS delayed. She used the kids as a way to spy, as per the norm with her.
