A Nice Mother’s Day
I actually had a Nice Mother’s Day! I thought I’d share a glimmer of hope that I had
Saturday, I got flowers delivered to me from my Step-daughter, and her card came in the mail too. The card was touching, and she put a note in it to say how she was grateful to have my and my daughters in her family
Sunday I woke up, to find some more flowers from the Step-Son (mooch) and a card from the grandbaby (how nice)
Then learned that the G/F was taking the grandbaby out early… bye bye!
SS was working all day (see ya)
I put together brunch, me, my Mom, my husband and my Daughter had a beautiful brunch out on our deck, the weather was delightful!
After Mom left, I took my biokid to the mall to pick up her sneakers and just ‘hang’ with her for a while, we had fun and got frappucinos at Starbucks (quite a treat!)
we came home and hubby had the table out back all set and was getting dinner ready
We had filet, lobster tails and a tomato/mozzarella salad and my favorite wine
And for dessert, chocolate covered strawberries
And for “adult beverage” after dinner he made an awesome chocolate martini!
He cooked AND cleaned up EVERYTHING~
My daughter took a shower and went to bed without being told she had to do so (always a bonus) GF came home, said Hello and took the sleeping baby upstairs to bed, and we watched some of our fave Sunday night TV shows
That was like an ideal Mother’s Day for me

Wow, that sounds fabulous!
Wow, that sounds fabulous! My DH told me "Happy Future Mother's Day" with a stupid look on his face. He knows that we will be doing the baby thing in a few years, but I told him that next sunday was Stepmothers day. He better deliver, since Saturday I will be helping with SS4 birthday party and dealing with his disfunctional family.
