Ss calls Husband to say Happy Father's Day. He has not been here to see him in 14 months and only lives a hour away. Has not invited us to his house either.
Talks for a bit and says that he is going to his wife's Dads to plant flowers at his grave. He met the man a couple times and he died before they got engaged. Her mom is going also, She has been divorced from the Dad for years. Then they are all going out to Dinner.
You would think that you would spend time with your Dad, the Father that is living.
You can not change a selfish person. I have not respect for him. There are alot of others things that he has said and down also. We pretty much have disengaged from him and only see him once in a while. I am civil but there is no love there. I have a daughter and another stepson, they are great. I decided, that no reason to waste your time on a loser. I just can not understand how you do not come to see you dad and have the nerve to tell him that you are going to plant flowers with your wife and think that there is nothing wrong with that.
