UGG! SS 21 Drug Addict moving back into State and wants to live 20 mins from us!

BM calls DH stating SS21 is doing really well, not using and bi-polar issues under control (funny how that happens when not shooting heroin). Wants to move back into state (has been living out of state in rehab and a sober living facility). But what kills me is it the same all over again. SS21 - "I am going to go back to school, I need a car and an apartment". No mention of how he will pay for this because he and his BM expect us too. He cant live with us we are not home during the week.

He has been in and or rehab for a year. Nothing has changed - he still expects someone else to sort it out for him.

I told my DH he is not allowed in our home, period! He needs to show something - like getting a job and keeping it. Until then I will have no contact at all with him.

I am afraid nothing has changed and his BM will just continue to enable SS21 and harass us for money. Good thing DH is on my side and keeps saying NO.

But so disappointing - skid still does not get it. I hate the skid for what he did, I hate his BM and I hate the skid even more because of what he did keeps that bitch BM in our lives.

My DH and I prefer he goes to another sober living facility, get a job - do SOMETHING! - prove yourself. Maybe take one class in the fall. But his stupid bitch BM, yet again, wants to give him what he wants and have us pay for. Not going to happen.

Actually, your husband must be allowing BM in your life. My husband's ex knows not to call. Husband took care of that a long time ago.

I'm with you...kid needs to go out and shape up on his own. Prove himself. Really try and do better and return showing you and husband that he's truly changed. If he's asking for help and for money, he has no respect for himself or for you.

You don't need that grief, you don't need his unhealthy lifestyle, you don't need his issues. If he can't man up to his situation and expect mommy and daddy to bail his lazy arse...then this kid isn't getting the help he wants.

Let him work, struggle, and earn your respect and want to help him. Looks like right now he's got his hand out for his ol' pitiful self.
