O/T Tire will not hold air. DH says the tire is good. OMG!
Bear with me please. I know this is a petty stupid subject. DH just sucks the life out of me on shit like this.
I had been telling DH the wheel barrel tire was flat and sure it needs replaced. DH...OH NO, it just needs air. He told me there is an air pump in the shed. I am thinking...NOT. DH works out of state. I take care of everything. I do me everything. This one thing...I just insist DH do. It takes him a month to put air in it.
Yesterday, I had the old water well abandoned professional. They do not bust up and haul of the old slab. They just bust up the slab around the well hole. One of the guys asked me, if I had something to put the concrete debris in. The guy looks at the wheel barrel on the patio. I told him my husband aired it up last week but I am sure the tire is FLAT. Sure enough, THE TIRE WAS FLAT. They guy replied...it is something to at least contain the concrete. That makes sense. There were some very small pieces. If you just dumb it on the ground, it is more work to clean up later. If small pieces are over looked, that is a good way to put someone's eye out when mowing yard.
Keep in mind...DH is a rig manager on a drilling rig. He deals with regulations and safety issues 24/7 on the job. I spoke to DH at work...stating the tire was flat but they are going to put the concrete debris in the wheel barrel to contain it. DH replies....NO, That weight will destroy the tire. OMG! I stated the tire will not hold air. What am I to do...air it up EVER TIME I need to use it?
I stated that the neighbor told me her husband just buys a new wheel barrel the tire goes flat. I know that sounds wasteful. Think of the time trying to shop for a new tire and changing the tire. For a few more dollars, you can just by a new wheel barrel.
If DH was a DIY guy, it would different. I get it. He works hard and I am retired. I am lucky if he takes the trash out. He can NOT even remember what day trash pick up is.
I just can not understand such irrational thinking.

Sounds like the path of least
Sounds like the path of least effort. He fills the tire because to acknowledge that the tire does, indeed, need replacing sets him up for the "hard work" of finding and purchasing said tire plus taking the old one off and installing the new one.
Dumbass. Especially complaining that the tire will be ruined when the tire is mostly likely already shot.

Thank you...MisStep.
I was raised country to not be wasteful. DH makes good money. The time he spends shopping for a tire and changing it, he could be purging and organizing the shed. We bought a new shed before we got married. I stated we should buy one a little bigger to keep it rooming and organize. DH has it trashed...old pots and pans of his mothers, 5 ice chest, 4 long extension and etc.
I am not OCD. Since I have retired, I have worked on purging, organizing, painting my house to make it our new home. My house is small. He just likes holding on to junk.
I cleaned, painted and purged
I cleaned, painted and purged his 2 dump houses and played real estate agent. I took care of ALL my MIL issues for years before she died. If he can watch sports all day when he is home, he can buy a new wheel barrel or a tire.
I did not deal with the concrete. I have deterioration in my lower neck and middle of my back. I can not do what I use to do.
I am not the landlord. I am his wife.
