So YSS has not followed what DH told him to do a couple times now with one issue. All that happened this time was DH basically handed him the solution for the latest infraction. Yet I know there's more. YSS is using BM to get him stuff DH has said no to in our house and hiding it.

Then kids are supposed to clean out lunch boxes right away and put them away (in the kitchen).

A couple times over the last few weeks I've had to shoo an animal out of his room. Anyway, I've noticed snacks in his room that we don't buy and that he'd have to get at a grocery store (and they don't shop with us). Yes, there was snack size Nutella!

I mentioned to DH that it looks like he's bringing stuff from BMs and perhaps that's why he's not eating dinner or a snack. DH excused it as just maybe leftovers, not sneaking snacks. Fine.

This morning I find DH in YSSs room spraying for ants. The garbage can is tipped over and it's nothing but empty plastic bags and snack things (that didn't come from our house). Dog got in it too. DH is still excusing it as YSS just cleaning out his lunchbox in his room. Technically that could be true but based on the evidence and behaviors YSS is sneaking food and not cleaning up. It could even be he's sneaking it out of BMs house.

Will DH really ask the questions to find out the true scenario? I doubt it. Even though the ant infestation was much much worse than the time my kid wasn't cleaning out his garbage.
