So she won't sign it. The bank won't split it. Nice chunk of money down the drain........ :jawdrop:

I'd forge it seriously, I know it's wrong but I wouldn't of even bothered letting her know.

She won't sign it?! Is there something more to this story than what was told? I know most spiteful crazy BMs operate on control but that's code for money.

She won't sign it because she doesn't believe that it won't come back as something she would have to repay. We have taken it to the bank. It is a real check. We have also called the number that came with the check to contact the company. It is a refund in overcharges that stemmed from a home they owned while they were married. They are refunding all of the people who were overcharged. She refuses to believe it. So therefore she won't sign. She basically told us we had no idea what we were doing and it wasn't a real check. OMG we have investigated this and contacted all the right people we even gave her the info so she could do it herself. Both of them have to go to the bank with photo ID and sign. That is the only way it can be cashed. She is almost 300 miles away. The check is only good for 90 days. He is there today watching his kids sports. She won't sign it. Throwing some huge ass fit over why she doesn't think it's real AND she deserves more than half because well she has spent a lot on skids this year and we haven't helped... um yea ok. What ever....... sorry I didn't help with SD18 $200 jeans. Sorry. Not going to happen.
So with a 90 day expiration date on it we only have till July to cash it. Maybe she will think on it some more.. but I doubt it.

Then why don't you give it to her all the contact nos. to investigate herself? I'm going to say skepticism doesn't always mean stupid. I'm always skeptical when free money turns up. But I'm a business woman & that's just me.

There's no doubt it's a real check but before I cash anything as a surprise, I always do my due diligence.
