Your dh says he doesn't know what to do. Really. Well he's their father, it is his/your home, you are his wife and they are disrespecting the lot of you best he damn well be a husband and a father and work out what to do. He might start by telling them cussing you out is off the table, as is coming home under the influence of drugs. Surely that's not too much for him to do. And it'd be a good starting point.

Two years ago when ss19 (17 at the time) lived with us he was always smoking pot in the garage beneath our bedroom at night and I could smell it instantly. Finally DH got thru to him and he stopped but he started smoking what was legal back then something called "spice" and it created a monster. I wished for the pot back b/c at least it was not making ss into a horrid creature who prowled our house all night long. It was the worst 1 1/2 years for me when that kid lived with us. He was very angry and then tears, emotions up and down and all over the place and I could not stand the drama. I look back now and see how he played us thoroughly just to have a place to live cuz bm had kicked him out of her house for doing drugs. I have 20/20 hind sight on that issue. But it's hard to be in the middle of it, as a smom you feel so out of control of your own world. I truly would call the police and give those boys a good jolting scare to get some sense and respect knocked into them. If you don't you could end up in the hospital. It's your home.

when I say something to them they just start to cuss me out and call me every name in the book. My DH says he doesn't know what to do??

Ummm...what? DH needs to man up with these young men. If they come home high...he needs to make them leave until they are sober and tell them to not come back high again. If they do.... HE needs to call the cops.

If they start to curse at you, your DH needs to make them shut up and respect you.

My DH is a Disney dad, but he would never allow SS in our home high. And he would NEVER let SS curse at me. That would probably turn into a very ugly physical confrontation if ANYONE did that to me.

This is unacceptable. You have a right to peace and serenity in your own home. Your husband has make these boys accountable.
