GAL?

We are at the end of our rope here. We used someone in the domestic relations group (because it was free) and as predicted the "mediator" sided 100% with BM in the letter that was written to the court and the attorneys. We were warned that DRS sides with the mother 99% of the time but we did it anyway and it back fired.

Even though we are becoming increasingly more in debt over fighting for the right to continue to see the children it seems that our only option is a GAL.

How has that worked? Will BM be required to pay for half as well even if we suggest it? What is the cost? What did they do? Do they interview the children (SS7 and SS9)? Did it even help in the end? Do the courts listen to the GAL's recommendation?

BD's always seem to get the short end of the stick... always having to provide why they should be a part of their children's lives instead of BM providing why he shouldn't?

Whatever happened to equality?

We never had to use a GAL, but we had more than one judge and more than one CPS assessor express opinions that "any child would be blessed to have the love of this family" in reference to the SpermIdiot, SpermGrandMa and the broader SpermClan.

This is the family that raised a serial statutory rapist with four out-of-wedlock spawn by three different baby mamas who does not raise or support any of his own children or even himself (the SpermIdiot), has an adulterous father (SpermGrandPa), a holier than thou hypocritical manipulative cantankerous hag bitch of a mother who did not do the world a favor and retroactively abort her characterless toothless idiot son (SpermGrandMa), and an extended family of dipshits that think that these scumbags are "good people".

You may get a GAL that will make a good decision but I don't hold out much hope of getting a good decision out of anyone associated with family law courts.

Good luck.
