What are thoughts on filing contempt when the custodial parent is following orders?

Last summer my stepchildrens mother was ordered to do several things, in which she started but has stopped doing. What are some thoughts on filing contempt orders?

If she is in contempt of the court order then there is standing to file a Motion for Contempt. That said, I wouldn't file contempt for very minor things - and make sure there is evidence of anything major before filing as without evidence there really isn't anything the courts can do.
