Trained SS to pro athlete status mom gets all mentions

I met my stepson when he was 6, his father had left his hometown when ss's mom ran off with another man who abused ss. Came to our state, met me, and we raised him, went to all his athletic events, sacrificed like crazy financially and effort wise. Now he's playing pro ball and the bm who couldn't be bothered to send a birthday gift gets all the mention in the interviews. I finally had it last night and called him and told him that she should cater to him cook etc during his off season since she's getting all the mention.

Husband says I'm jealous of course, taking ss's side as usual. I realize now that after 15 years with this boy he will always crave mama. No matter what I did it didn't earn me any points.

I told my husband I wasn't going to cook for him for 4-5 months. He could do it himself. Of course my husband's parents live next door and even though they're old and sick and my husband is practically at death's door they will still do everything for this boy.

I've had it. I don't care if I never hear another interview or see another game. Now he's mad at me too for mentioning this to him in a phone message last night.

It just made me sick all the time and effort that I spent for nothing. Sure I helped another human being and that is always worthwhile and a great thing to do. But the gravy train stops here.

Join the club. I've been there for my SD17 since she was 3, and I'm just a piece of shit stuck to the bottom of her shoe. Her bio-daddy, who sees her 2 days a month during the school year - he's "perfect."
