That mouth
So how many of you have BM's that feel that the child is just "expressing themselves" when they talk like a sailor? So yesterday SD (14) was told she could not have a friend spend the night. She has a massive hissy fit. SD (17) tells her to stop being a brat there is not reason for it, followed by five minutes of "I'm being a brat because I'm Fu#*ing Pi$$ed off, what the fu#* do you think I'm pi$$ed off about in the first place" blah blah blah. (her father is out in the garage. So I tell her to knock it off and if she keeps it up she will not be having anyone come over or be going over to anyone's house for awhile. She says "then I just won't come over cause you can't make me". Promises, promises......
Anyway the phyco BM sends a text message today that says I had better not say anything to her precious again because she is just "expressing her frustration" and I'm just a bi#$h ext...ext....and that she will make sure that she doesn't have to come over anymore. *the thought has me crying buckets*.......in laughter.......am I a horrible person?
No, I don't feel that is
No, I don't feel that is appropriate. SD must know a few grown-up words that aren't vulgar.
Trust me, I can cuss with the best but not around minors and I would not tolerate it from my DD.
I hope you didn't respond to
I hope you didn't respond to BM.
Show the text to your DH and tell him to handle it the way he sees fit; but you want no more from SD or BM. I would tell DH; "It's your problem, I won't accept this talk, I won't accept texts from BM; tell them to knock it off, and show some respect in our home".
