Had to ask DH to educated stb 16yo SD on what constitutes an emergency
Forums:
She woke us up last night @ 11:30 or so to tell DH her fish was in the "cave" (which only needs lifted to let him out if he's stuck) and looked like he was going to die.
Of course, DH got up and saved the day by lifting that rock and letting the fish out.

Ugh, this is what I imagine happening once SD is "grown". I'm sure she will still be calling Daddy for every little thing.

Oh for the love of God!
SD22 called us in the middle of the night a couple of years ago to tell us that she had just read on FB that DH's oldest (and estranged) daughter had been in an accident, about 4-6 months prior (and was fine). That news couldn't have waited another 8-10 hours? What were we supposed to do about it, in the middle of the night, 6 months later?
What's really scary is she has 2 kids and no clue.
OMG, that is too funny. I
