It's funny yet sad that we have lives like this. I have my calendar marked with little red x's for the weekends we have SD.

My phone calendar

Every weekend he has the SD is in my calendar. I time it from when he gets her to when he drops her off...and watch my phone that Monday morning to rejoice when that reminder drops off the screen!!

I tell time by... Dreading the only time I have off...THE WEEKENDS!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH It is like a really scarey movie that comes every SINGLE weekend!!! And for some reason. I am the dumbass that we all yell at in the movies. "run you dumb B*^%$, don't look back..." :O

My Two Stepparent Fantasies

1. Zippy's BM's new beau is "the one"- and they buy a big house in Zippy's old neighborhood (that Zip prefers) and Zippy announces to DH and I that he is moving in with BM and her new beau. DH and I lovingly pack Zippy up using the new luggage we bought him for his European holiday.....

Zippy discovers girls and we never see him again (except in the morning on his way out the door to his girlfriends.... }:)

dread saturday nights

YEP! I work 9-5 Monday thru Friday..saturdays and saturday nights should be my favorite time of the week - NOT..Saturday ALL day I have SS5 up my butt and than Sat. night here comes the SS2 with his dadda..dadda look look..juice..juice..cook..cook..every 2 seconds and than SS5 and SS2 fighting over everything. I go to bed AS soon as SS2 walks in the door (on a Sat. night!!!)

I used to LOVE weekends and summer months-not now-not with Zippy16.5 lurching around the house with his "don't ya feel sorry for me my parents divorced" face, leaving a mess wherever he goes (like pigpen in peanuts)-playing video games and movies at full volume-just the fact that "he's ALWAYS there"

I dread summer-Zippy16.5 has no job, no ambition, no clue and DH will say something stupid like:

"Just let him be a kid all summer" translation "let Zippy sit on his butt doing nothing and whining about it all summer!

I did put Zippy in a summer program for three weeks and plan to nag DH to death re getting a week or 2 out of BM this summer-hopefully she will take him to her WiccanFest (don't ask...) camping.

Last Sat. night I had been bitchen so much about us not getting any free time..and kids ALWAYS being around..that FH told the BM of SS2 that he would pick him up on Sunday..and he got his mom to miraculously watch SS5 that night so we could go out. Well the weather was horrible..cold and rainy. I had wanted to go to Fanuel Hall in Boston, have dinner a drink, and just walk around...we didn't have alot of $$ that weekend so anything else was out the picture really and there were no movies I wanted to see. So I told FH you might as well just take the kids cuz' I dont' want to waste a good babysitting night and have nothing to do

you always were an affectionate, cuddly, loving person, but now that the one of the skids has been so far up your ass and has jumped, pulled, and hung all over you constantly for 3 days straight and now you no longer want to touch or be touched by your BF for the next 3 days.

Also you know when you used to be able to play fight and wrestle with your BF, but after having been around skids for a few months every time he wants to "play" you want to punch him in the face because you have asked him to stop several times (just like you do with the children) and he does not.

i'm prob an A hole

but i go out of my WAY to point out the SKs are NOT mine if we are out in public. they don't brush or style their hair and their clothes from home are tacky and usually dirty.

i avoid public trips with my SKs. at all costs.

That so happened last weekend. I got a negative comment about SS12 at a sporting event (truly not uncommon for this kid) and my response (in front of BM and DH) "I'm the stepmom". The person that commented gave me a very sympathtic smile and BM threw daggers. I felt vindicated.
