Court Today...

SO, for all my fabulous friends who have followed my custody dispute with my oldest son...

Biodad did not show up today. His lawyer filed a motion to continue the hearing, and it was denied.

I was awarded sole physical and decision making responsibility.

Biodad is ordered to pay for any future therapy visits.

Biodad is ordered to pay for all my attorney costs that have to do with his non compliance.

The judge held to his earnings for the past 4 years and my child support order was more than doubled.

The judge then proceeded to ream his attorney for his "legal strategy" in attacking mother (me) when alienation was clearly the fault of the absent parent...

There was a lot more said but ultimately, I am so glad it is finally over. I can't dwell on what biodad will or will not do. I will just keep my son in therapy and help him deal with a father who will probably disappear again now that he doesn't have any control over the situation.

I'm happy. Biggrin

Congratulations! I'm glad that there are judges out there that recognize these situtations for what they are.

That is fabulous.. Guess he couldnt keep up the charade of caring dad long enough. Glad the judge got to see his true colors!

Thats awesome CG, I'm so happy its all over for you. And I'm so sorry for your son. Glad to see a mother who makes sure her son's emotional well being is top priority!

Your story is my biggest nightmare. My kids Bio Dad is not around and has not played an active role in their life. It is a scary thought to think that he could come back around and try to stake a claim for the babies I raised and love more than anything. I am so glad your story had a good outcome. You son is very lucky to have you!

I am so glad that REAL justice prevailed. I am so happy for you and BS and your family. Finally a Judge seeing the shenanigans as just that. Even happier that he lit into the lawyer. Congrats CG!

I am THRILLED for you. Maybe you can get a decent nights sleep and focus more on your son and forget about his "dad". Good for you girl!! You give me hope in the event that I face this soon!

It's so good to see that justice truly does prevail in some cases. It gives us all hope.
