did anyone think to ask me??
So FSS1 was throwing up last night. BF wasn't much help since he does not do well with barf. FSS1 threw up all over himself and the living room rug so I asked BF to run him a bath. I stripped the little guy and handed him to BF in the bathroom. For this I get a dirty look. I told BF its either wash the baby or clean up the puke. I tell BF he needs to call BM because their daycare has a policy that a child cannot attend until 24 hours after they stop throwing up. He started at 7pm and stopped about 9pm so no way it would be 24 hours before daycare the next morning. BM tells BF that she had the flu on Friday - sure would have been nice to know this before so we could watch for any signs of the flu with baby. Thankfully, I keep pedia-light around just in case. BM tells BF that we can bring FSS back today but meet her 5:30 pm since she has meeting this afternoon. Did anyone bother to ask me if this was okay with me since I am the one who does most of the driving? I realize I am not working - I do start tomorrow but that is not the point. To make matters worse, the roads here are terrible. We have been under a winter weather advisory so travel is dangerous. I have not left the house today and BF did not come home for lunch like he does most days. I talked to BM twice today and she said I could bring FSS to daycare in the morning since the roads are bad and she does not want me in the ditch - I have a 4 wheel drive and she drives a jag. I start working in the morning so I am debating telling BF he has to take FSS to daycare - which is 45 miles one way away. I am thinking this will start a huge fight but again no on asked me. Both BM and BF assumed that this all would be okay with me. School was canceled an hour after it started so I have been home all day with all four kids and my BD13 is sick. FSS is also teething really hard - getting at least 4 right now - so he is a wonderful kid to have around after the pain reliever kicks in.
UGH! I need a nap and some alone time. Not going to get it, since I have to be the one to get up with FSS in the middle of the night because BF is clueless and so dopey that he can't follow directions.

You're not obligated...
You have an awfully big heart. I cannot believe that baby's BM doesn't feel a tug on her heart to actually do something for that baby. If that was my baby, I'd find a way to get through the snow.
You're not obligated to do anything. Let FH take care of that. It's his baby. You've got enough to take care of. Now that you are starting a new job to contribute to the family, FH should honor that.
It's his time with the baby, not yours. He's pushing his obligations off on you. He made the baby so he's got to learn to compensate. So what if he has to go 45 miles out of his way. That is his duty to do that. Let him argue with BM. Take yourself out of the loop. You worry about what you need to worry about.
You are not a hired nanny.

I agree with you
he needs to learn to do these things. If not, you are in for a bumpy ride. Guys tend not to like to do anything, at night it is worst. My H would do it wrong, be too rough or yell at BS2. I have to MAKE him do stuff, and he too acts grumpy all the next day. All well, he will just need to learn. It bothers me that you are not even married yet and he already wants/makes you do everything.
