anyone have experience w the court hearing after mediation where the mediator is supposed to give the judge the parneting plan for he/she to sign off on? what exactly goes on? my FH and the BM started to come to an agreement but things changed (not for the better) and they cant now. will the judge want to talk to each of them and find out why they cant compromise? mediator has not gotten back to us. we are in MO. thanks in advance.

That each side will be allowed to make a brief statement in support of their opinion, then the judge will render a decision based on what serves the children's best interests. It will likely not be a very lengthy ordeal.

I would think that the judge would try to decide the issue then and there. He may make a recommendation and if both sides agree with it, then it could end there. If not, then I would guess he'll set a date for trial, which could be several months down the road, depending on how full the docket is.

yeah ive just heard so many different things and i cant find anything on the web telling me whats gonna happen. mediator hasnt gotten back to us and the hearing is tues. AND the agreement isnt settled. my fiancee wants to give up custody, naturally he will still be paying CS (theres a HUGE history here w alot of bad stuff)and we dont know how this will be accomplished, if he needs a lawyer, etc. the only way we can still see FSD is if BM agrees to certain restrictions, like no contact, 3rd party exchanges, etc, AND we can hold her accountable for violating them, and she wont and we dont have money for a lawyer. so frustrating.
