She won't get the medicine
Last week SS was put on ADD meds, great! We've gone through a ton to help him out at school and such (we make up for what he doesn't do at his mother's house on our week=very stressful). So, Friday they get the prescription. She (bm) had the kids last week. She, bm, didn't call at all after the appointment (we picked them up this afternoon) which is unusual for her because there is usually some drama that goes with getting the boys for the week (she couldn't possibly make this easy on us). DH thought for sure that his ex would get the prescription filled right away (I told him I didn't think ss would be on them yet, I just had a feeling)...but as I stated in other posts, she doesn't have insurance...the meds were expensive! She didn't get the kid started on the meds. DH said he would go get them. Sounds wonderful (we can afford to pay for them more than she can and I'm okay with that, as long as she helps out once in a while). DH asked bm if the prescription was left at the pharmacy, she said, "Yes, it is there". It wasn't there. She had the prescription in her living room the entire time. She lied. DH went to the pharmacy and they said there was no record of the prescription at all. DH called BM and she said, "oh, yeah it is here". Would she let DH have it? NOPE! She is refusing to give it to him. Now, under other circumstances it would be okay to call the doctor and have them call in the prescription but due to it being an ADD drug (commonly sold) it has to be the original prescription for the first time. She won't let DH go pick up this prescription because she wanted to sleep. DH asked her if he could pick it up at 11pm so he could go have it filled so ss could start taking the meds we've waited so long to get him on!
I just needed to vent due to her controlling ways and her stupidity (she isn't hurting us but rather her own son). She thought it was funny that he went to the pharmacy and found nothing there and that he had to call her again. She was in the living room (where she now says the prescription is) when he picked the skids up today! Has anyone else dealt with this type of situation before? I know the bm I have to deal with is controlling but this is is tops for her recent crap.

No I Haven't
But I just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear this. Bm is being completely stupid. I would like to sting up and beat some of these BM like a rug for using there own kids as pawns. So sad. When are they going to realize we are on the same damb side.
Thanks
Thanks Little Jo.
She certainly uses the kids as pawns. They are getting to the age where they will start to realize what is going on. It is frustrating because they didn't ask to be put in this situation at her house (or even with the divorce).
