You are here

defeat vs gratification

hi friends,
I'm still here, loving my guy and refusing to let the feelings of his "child" dictate our relationship. I decided I would stop doing the "little things". I haven't even fully pulled back yet, however I can see very early that the lack of my attention makes this home kinda fall apart..... LOL......LLLSSSSS. Small victories excite me. I do realize the power of providing comfort is all I can hold on to, but for today watching the men folk scramble for comforts they never knew they had felt good...#hotdamn....#SMpoint1.

you must maintain disengagement for the full effect.

i am glad you are seeing results. being taken for granted hurts.

dont give in and keep up the good work.

Unfortunately, sometimes they do not realize what they had until they lose it, and sometimes the relationship falls completely apart because they are so focused on making sure their adult child is happy instead of their wife. Hang in there!

Thank you. I'm holding on. I'm just in my stance refusing to give up the love of my life because his adult "kid" doesn't like the operation.

Keep it up. I know for me it was going out by myself when they were here. The shock on their faces when I wss going to lunch and a movie without them. Oh the victory!!! Smile

Good for you. I will never look back, much less turn back. Disengagement is giving to yourself, instead of everyone around you. I give when I want to, without routine giving.

You will realize how much you were neglecting yourself.

Do take care of yourself and stand your ground.

(((hugs)))
