Skids are planning their Father's Day dinner and MSD was trying to clarify that me and my kids weren't invited by saying "As long as it's just us and our spouses and kids". I pointed out to DH I guess that means I'm invited since I am his spouse!!! Of course I have no plans of going but I sure she says something stupid like that in front of me so I can point out her stupidity!
Just another example of how the Skids like to ignore or diminish our marriage.
Yep we talked about it
Yep we talked about it beforehand. Me and my kids are taking him out Friday and he is spending Saturday with his kids. That's not the issue. I'm actually happy about that! I do not want to go and I work weekends so couldn't go anyway.
What annoyed me was the saying "spouses" but not including me in that term. To my step kids their partners are "spouses" I'm am not considered his spouse I'm just some woman he's with. I don't count as a spouse because they don't count me as family.
Typical how hypocritical
Typical how hypocritical steps can be. It's hard to understand why they think that the spouse they are married to counts as family but their parents spouse doesn't. Convenient tunnel vision.
