Seeing her name every time I open our PO Box makes my skin crawl. You have to pay to get someone removed from a major marketing database...unless you register them as dead. Just sayin.
Me too. I've been getting it for years, it seems. Even after we move to places she has no prior attachment with, I get it, usually from hospitals, especially since she likes to spit out another baby very three years or so.
I find it cathartic to write "RETURN TO SENDER, MRS. X HAS A NEW ADDRESS AND NEW BABYDADDY" and stick it back in the mailbox. The mailman probably thinks I am deranged, but that's ok
Go to Office Depot and have a couple of self inking stamps made. "Return to Sender." "No longer at this address". All of BMs crap mail, and yours if you wish, gets stamped and then put immediately in to the outgoing mail slot. Then let the USPS deal with the junk mail crap.
Ask your postal delivery person. When I split with my exH, I was still receiving mail for him, AND his brother and mother (neither had ever lived there). I explained to my mailman and thereafter, he no longer delivered their mail and the post office handled returning/disposing of their mail. If not, get a Return To Sender stamp.
It irritated me when I lived where BM had lived, but it infuriated me when we started receiving stuff for her at our new address--especially when BM would use OUR address for things like the dental bill or health insurance for SD that was in her name. I told DH it needed to get fixed or I would fix it. When it didn't get fixed, I fixed it--I wrote "RETURN TO SENDER--HAS NEVER LIVED AT THIS ADDRESS". Nothing comes to our house with her name on it anymore, save for a few where there were "database errors", such as with the school or old junk mail that seems to follow the last name.
Yeah it seems to be mostly just junk mail, with an occasional collections letter. But the volume of junk mail has increased.... we moved about 75 miles from where we first lived together (house DH bought after the divorce), our house sold quickly so we rented for a short period of time before finding the house we wanted to buy. And DH lived in his brother's vacant house for a short stint after their marital home sold. So that's a total of four moves for him, her last name is no longer his, and it seems like she gets more mail in that PO Box than I do. Four different cities, four different homes, and it follows where she's never been.
Well, at least you aren't having to FETCH your non-junk mail from BM (who somehow receives forwarded mail for DH on new accounts at an address he has never lived at...)! It was scary, really, when I found out DH's first CC bill (totally new CC) was rerouted by the post office seemingly by magic from our address (3 years residency) to her address, a place she has lived less than 2 years!

Is she still on a car title? That is how they get the new addresses sometimes.
