***UPDATE Family Court No Coropral Punishment Order

Well I wasn't able to get a no coropral punishment in my court order. Although the mediator recommended that no parents nor anyone else use coropral punishment the judge states that Parents can use coropral punishment when needed. Since my ex didn't agree not to use it the courts are letting him have that option. I still cant believe this has happened? ?????

Really? After the age of, I don't know, 8, I haven't hit any kids. How many have you hit that aren't yours?

I don't think there is any truth to the generalization that Skids are more likely to be on the receiving end of corporal punishment. In my case it may be true because I don't have kids... However I have only ever spanked a kid once - and it wasn't my SS.

My nephew was about 3 and having a tantrum with his Mom. I told him whilst having his meltdown to stop his shit. He swore at me! Grabbed him over my lap and paddled his backside twice. Gave him something to cry about. Gave my sister something to mouth off at me... Told her it was ok for brat to swear at her, not at me- I warned him.
Sis was mad a me, kid never swore again. Ever. He is 17 now- probably learned to swear again, but not at me or his Mom.
Doesn't seem to be psychologically damaged and he actually loves me. I still get on with my sister.

I don't take shit from kids. Warning is usually enough.
