I rarely get to watch TV in my own living room. This usually doesn't bother me because I don't watch much TV and when I do it's usually at night in bed. Well my SS15 plays a lot of video games and with it being football season DH and SS and my bio sons (when they visit) usually hog the TV most night either with football, soccer etcetera.
Also I am getting my new sectional tomorrow that I've been waiting 8 weeks for. It's a gorgeous, ridiculously comfortable down stuffed sectional which I will be relaxing on often.
Okay back to the point. I told them tonight that as soon as the video game was done (FIFA soccer game) which took over an hour that I wanted to watch something. So as soon as I turn it on they start talking about all the football games that are on and I just kept watching my show. Then I realize that ss15 and bio son 21 are gone. I find them in our bedroom with ss sweaty just done with football practice nasty body lying in my spot on my bed. My DH said he said they could watch football in there. I was furious!! I kicked them out of our room. My dh KNoWS that I do not want kids in my room whether they are bio or step and I most certainly don't want their nasty sweaty bodies in my BED. So I left the house and drove around for 10 minutes calming myself down. I came back and they were all in the living room watching football. I shut the TV off, told them that as far as I knew my DH and I were the only ones paying the bills and that I had a RIGHT to watch TV in MY living room and that DIDNT mean I had to give up the privacy of my bedroom to them!! I told them they could press the record button and watch what they wanted AFTER I was finished, much like I do when they hog the TV all the time! I then proceeded to turn my show back on and watch it. They just sat there and when my show was over I let them watch football.
