Just want some Opinions

My BD11 was invited to a birthday slumber party this weekend. Problem is that it is my weekend. She lives in the Bronx with her BM and I live in NJ. To take her to this party involves gas and tolls twice and is a bit costly, that I really don't have right now. Any ideas on what to do or how to handle this?
Switch weekends.

I agree with the
I agree with the others-switch weekends and let her go to the party.
I agree that swapping w/e is
I agree that swapping w/e is the best solution, but if that doesn't work..
Is this something your DD REEEEALLY wants to attend?? If so, and BM wont give you another w/e to make up... you maaaay have to be the really awesome Dad who can put his DD's wants above his own. And I know how hard that is, I moved in Jan and my DD11 stayed with her Dad, I have her every second w/e, TWICE I have had to give up my w/e with her b/c she had sport things on, but I get to make up that time in school holidays.
If your DD is on the fence about going so to speak, then tell her she might have to miss this one out. That's something families that split up have to deal with from time to time, there are just some things that the kids miss out on, but it's not the end of the world, there will be other parties

Another option is to take public transportation. I used to live in the Bronx. You can take the Path train to Manhattan and the subway to the Bronx. Then if need be it's a cab fare of six or eight bucks to where ever the sleep over is.
It will definitely take longer, but it's a whole lot cheaper.
If switching isn't a option
If switching isn't a option then give up the day.
Don't be petty about counting every hour if otherwise things are going well with your ex.

Thank you for all the replies. In the end, BD decided not to go. Her friend has a cat and she has allergies. so, it all worked out. Again, thanks for the advice.
