To those of you who have followed the story of SD, the horses, our property and her tantrum - their house closing was today! It has been a long, drawn out process and DH and I have had to spend a lot of money to try to straighten out the property boundary lines. I have worked on this daily for weeks. We could not get the portion of the property in question transferred in time, so the new buyers bought it without the backyard area. SD and her husband ride off into the sunset leaving the new owners and DH and I holding the bag.

I still vividly recall SDs threat during her rant in September that they would not sell the house to my DD, but they would sell the house to "people you don't know and don't even like." Well, we don't know the new owners, but we invited them over last night and we like them a lot! Personally, I like them a lot better than the newly departed. I know DH is sad, but relieved. As for me Yipppeeeee! There is still a lot of work to be done straightening out the real estate mess, but we'll work it out.

Thanks to all of you for your advice and support. I hope SD doesn't reappear and cause me a need to vent any time soon. Perhaps that is wishful thinking. I'll visit here from time to time in case I can help another SM. I'm so glad I found this site and wish you all the best.
