We were having a great evening yesterday. DH had to work, but after that he took us out to dinner, which never happens. We had lots of fun, I even grabbed a toy out of that crane machine. We get home and I check the e-mail. We had a contact request on there from an 18 year old girl. She has our last name. Ok, time for a bit of a background view...My DH was in Desert Storm and during his travels he ended up in the Phillipines. He met a woman and thought he had fell in love with her. They had a relationship while he was still married to his first wife. When things got bad with the Phillipino chick DH broke it off. He couldn't take her heavy drinking any more, understandably. The woman had given a letter to DH's buddy, but DH refused to take it or read it. His buddy threw it away. When DH told me about his whole life and told me that I asked if he ever wondered what was in the letter. I asked if it was possible she could've been pregnant when he left her. He said he wasn't sure, but with his track record it is possible (he has 5 children, that we know of for sure) he's very fertile.
Now all of a sudden we have this 18 year old trying to contact us. DH and I sat here and tried to figure it out. There is a huge possibility. The girl is now in Mesa, AZ, where we lived before moving to Maine. Lots of thoughts are going on in my head. I'm hoping it's all a coincidence, but you never know what can happen. Us women are so lucky, we know exactly how many kids we have
I'll take BM's irrational requests over finding out DH has even more kids roaming around out there. Hope that didn't sound too mean
