yesterday SD8 was swimming in the pool with the dogs. (2 wonderful golden retreivers) bf was outside working in the yard and im in the kitchen watching through the window. He's not watching her. I see her throw the ball and the dogs jump in after it, then she jumps in , ON the dogs!! At first i thought maybe she just aimed wrong. So i watched a little longer and she did it 3 times. At that point I knew it was intentional. I FREAKED out! Went outside and yelled out of the pool! SHe claimed she wasnt really jumping on them , that they got in the way. I said no SD i watched you do it 3 times. BF kicked her out of the pool for the rest of the day. Man IM still burned up about it. Why would a kid do something so stupid?

She needs counseling. Children that intentionally hurt small animals tend to go on to people as they get older. They target "weaker" species or people to take their frustrations out on.

I would make sure she doesnt go near your dogs in the future. Protect your babies.

I have talked about it before with bf, this was months ago. But then she was good for a while. Now she seems to be acting out again. Ill continue to watch her for a bit (a week or so) and act her behaviors, then talk to Bf. I think he thinks its a kid thing.

But yes I dont want her near my babies!!

my pups would never do a thing...they are the most loving creatures!!
I felt like saying to her..how about you jump in and ill jump on you and then you can see how it feels! I can put up with alot of kid stuff, but when it comes to my pups im a bear!!

That is something my dad would have done!!! My sister bit me when she was young. I was crying and in pain.. My dad BIT my sister back for me!!! asked her how she liked it!!! Did the same thing when my younger cousin bit me as well. It was too much. I apparently tasted yummy to children younger than me.

Next time, DO IT!!! jump on her

with my SD9...we have 5 cats (3 I brought into this marriage) SD purposly holds them down until they scream. When you tell her to let them go she makes comments like ....she isn't hurting them or they like it. If they like it why are they screaming bloody murder and run from her everytime she comes in the room. They know what to expect from her and its not good so they go hide. but of course she chases them down and drags them from underneath the bed.

I really have to raise my voice to get her to stop it. My 15 year old cat just wants to enjoy her last years and die in peace but this little brat isn't letting that happen.

Protect your babies! Good for you!

Evil,

I have 2 cats that I brought w/me into the marriage. The rule in our house is the adult's bedroom (as dh HATES when I call it MINE) is offlimits. I dont care if the cat is in there.. its a sanctuary for me and my cats. I leave the door slightly open so that the kitties can get in.

There are consequences for hunting down a cat in my room and she learned the hardway!!

Try that rule out. See if it works for you.

My SD's 4 and 5 like carrying one of my old cats around, but they have been gentle so far. I just hope they keep it up.:)

My SS has also done some things. When my dog was about 10 weeks old he jumped up on my SS who was 8 at the time and mouthed on him well my SS smacked the puppy and he landed on the coffee table. I was pissed. I told SS to get his ass to his room NOW because if he didn't I would not be held responsible for what happened next. Pup was fine just really scared and SS was grounded from everything for 2 weeks. I would have given him back to his damn mother but DH wasn't up for that.

Now that the dog is 70 lbs SS is much nicer to him but every once in a while he acts up. We were all in the backyard throwing around the football and of course the dog intercepts the ball and runs with it (he's are little football player) and SS chases him and falls flat on his face trying to get the ball from the dog. The dog turns around to check on him and SS screams at the top of his lungs "give me the ball" and than kicks the dog, and raises his arm to smack him. I'm right on him at this point and grab his arm and I tell him "don't you dare hit that dog" he of course tries to act like he didn't do anything even though his father and I saw him kick the dog and try to hit him.

I took the tv out of his room and sold it and his playstation2 on craigslist - the worst punishment I could think of. DH was pissed because he thought I went overboard but hey SS has never hurt the dog again. And in my oppinion he was to young to have a tv of his own and PS2 was taking up to much time Smile

She used to grab my grandmother's cat K.K. by the fur on her face and slap her really hard across the face. Several times I wished no one else was in the room so I could show her how it felt.
